Hi everyone! Usually, on this blog, I’m posting a lot of college advice and tutorials, but today I’m doing a room tour of my room in the sorority house! I just moved into the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house on Friday and what a day it was! My roommates and I spent nearly all day decorating and organizing and it finally looks the way we want it to! So here is a brief tour of my room!

So this is my room! I live in a three person room in the sorority house with my best friends Alex and Courtney. On the left side is Alex’s bed and on the right is mine! We both have two sets of bed risers on our bed so we can have tons of storage underneath our beds that you can’t see at the moment. Currently, the drawers between our beds are all mine, but Courtney and Alex get more closet space than I do! We also strung lights around the entire room to brighten up the room a bit. We also made all of our own artwork that’s on the walls except for the tapestry that Alex so thoughtfully provided!
This is my side of the room! I love turquoise everything as you can see in the theme of the room! All the artwork I made myself besides the pineapple cutout and the galaxy lyre painting that my sorority big painted for me! I love to paint and craft so perhaps those pictures will be changing throughout the year with some new additions! My bed is so comfortable too. I’ve only slept in the house for two days but those two nights were amazing!
Here is a closer look at my art work on the wall above my bed. I made most of them last year and just hung them up in the same places I did before and it turned out great! Nearly all of these pieces I made with stencils so you don’t have to be an insanely good artist to make these! It just takes a little imagination!
This is Alex’s bed! She went with the gray and turquoise color scheme with some gold mixed in and I think it works great together! She has just enough pillows on her bed not to overcrowd her things but enough to make it all feel cozy!
Courtney’s bed is mostly gray with a few turquoise accents that make everything pop! I love the letter’s on her wall because they stand out so well! She’s also surrounded her side with lots of photos of her friends and family!
Then we have our desk space on the other side of the room! Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough desk space for all three of us so Courtney sacrificed a desk for more storage elsewhere in the room. She did get to place some pictures in the center though! On the far right is Alex’s side of the desk which looks a lot more put together than my side! She has lots of pictures and maroon scattered about which adds some more color to the room! My side of the desk is the far left and still needs some work done with it but it’ll get there!
Finally here is more stuff behind the desk! We made a little coffee area with Alex’s Keurig and my little blue table. It’s nice because all the K-Cups are there and we have just our own little area for breakfast items, etc. Beside the coffee area is a dresser that actually separates our sleeping area from the desks. It’s nice because it keeps both areas separate but also opens up the room a bit more for each of us!
I’m so excited to be rooming with these girls this year and I can’t wait for a great year! What are you all looking forward to this school year? Leave a comment below!
