So it’s the middle of the semester and going to college classes seems like the biggest waste of time EVER. There are so many other things you could be doing, and sometimes the classes you go to are completely pointless (It sucks to say that but that’s honestly how it is sometimes). What if you could be rewarded by going to class and get free rewards and discounts to places you love to shop and go to?
Introducing Pocket Points! The amazing app you turn on while you’re in class, and the longer you are off of your cell phone, the more points and benefits you get! Seriously, these deals and discounts are so amazing it almost feels like it shouldn’t be legal. The app is free to download on the iPhone App store and super easy to install and get to earning points!
First, download the app and make sure your school is available to earn rewards! There is a drop-down list of all the schools that accept Pocket Points.
Finding Your School
These were just some schools around me that were available but the list is much longer than this. Just type in your school name and it should pop it. Then make your account!
Making An Account
I’ve selected Missouri State University because that’s the school I attend and this is what your profile tab should look like. It lists all of Pocket Point’s features. Now to start earning points!
By going to the home page, this screen should pop up with a counter on it. Basically, whenever you’re on your college campus and on this screen, the app starts tallying points for the amount of time you’re off your phone. Get to this screen, make sure that the “Lock Phone” message is at the top of the screen, lock your phone, and there you go! As you’re off your phone, the app starts counting the time you stay off your phone. At this time just go about your regular class day. Pay attention, take notes, do whatever you usually do in class besides being on your phone.
When class is over, or when you have to use your phone again, unlock your screen, and this chart should come up! It should tell you how long you were off your phone and the amount of points you received in that time! I was off my phone for thirty minutes and earned 7 points.
As you accumulate points, you can eventually redeem them for rewards. Here are just a few rewards that you can redeem from Pocket Points. Some involve food, apparel, and free rewards for other businesses as well. I’m currently a fan of spending money on food so I’m going to redeem a Chili’s reward.
And here are just some of the rewards you can redeem from Chilis! When you’re ready to redeem a reward, click the present and it should ask you if you’re okay with spending your points. If you are, click agree and your reward should be ready! Just make sure your location will accept these rewards before you spend them because some locations don’t accept the codes. It should list the location lower on the page where you can redeem them!
Earning Additional Points
You can earn additional points as well by completing multiple tasks from earning points several days in a row or several hours! It’s so easy to earn points and you can redeem rewards for stuff you already do every day!
Want to earn more points? Type in this code on the “Free Points” tab, and you and I can both earn 10 points towards our rewards. How cool is that?!
I love this app so much and I’ve already redeemed some of my points for Subway, Krispy Cream, Society 6, etc. Start earning rewards today and save on stuff you already purchase or use!
