So last semester, my room looked a little bit different. Mostly because I was sharing a room with three people instead of two! Sadly, my other roomie Alex had to move out due to getting an awesome exec position in the house where she has to live by herself. If you want to see what my room looked like before, check it out here.
Before winter break, we all moved rooms and now everything looks so different! –Even though we only moved into the room next door. Here is where we live now!
I promise you, Courtney and I didn’t coordinate our colors or bedspreads, it actually just turned out that we had the same color of stuff. How cool is that? Anywho! When you walk in, this is the view! Courtney’s bed is the one with the beautiful floral print and fluffy cute pillows! Mine is the chevron bedspread to the right which you will see better in a picture or two!
Here is Courtney’s side of the room! She has a very simplistic style when it comes to her walls so she hung a few wire racks on the wall so she could put some pictures up! She’s a big fan of giraffes and fluffy animals as you can see on her bed. She for sure makes her bed a lot more than I do (which I need to be better at). I love the way our beds are angled so our heads are together. It makes nighttime conversations so much more fun!
Here is my side of the room! I wanted to do something a little different than before and add some dimension and something a bit whimsical. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought tulle and some really interesting fabric! It shines really well in the lights which is why I wanted string-lights behind it. I also really love to paint and make crafts so I have a few art pieces from before hanging up! I’m in a sorority so I have to represent my letters!
Right next to my bed is my bulletin board! I love to reflect on old memories and other fun times I’ve had in the sorority so I posted a few on my wall. I also hung up a few older pictures from high school at the top to remember the good ol’ days! I have my letters that my big painted (free-hand by the way) above that go with all the bright colors. Finally, I have my paddle that my little made for me! Everyone in Alpha Chi Omega knows I love Starbucks and that I work there. My little had the bright idea and created me a Starbucks paddle. It’s probably my favorite thing in the entire room.
Here is my desk! Since I’m the idiot that I am, I completely forgot my makeup mirror at home, so that will be along shortly! Normally I would use my desk for getting ready in the morning, but until then she’s just for homework! I keep all my makeup in a bag to take to the bathroom in the morning to make it a bit easier. I also use my desk to keep all my beauty products as well as extra pencils, pens, and anything else for my homework.
Here is Courtney’s side with all her desk supplies, and if you look carefully, you can see her gorgeous self in her mirror as she deals with me taking pictures of our room! Thanks again girly! Courtney mainly does her homework at her desk as well as her makeup whenever she gets ready in the morning. She wears lots of hats so she displayed them very nicely on her wall. She is a picture hoarder as well so she’s placed a bunch of different photos on her bulletin board.
There is her beautiful workspace and her Starbucks that we so thoughtfully decided to grab before this photoshoot. As you can see she’s very organized and loves to keep her space tidy and neat. Whenever she studies it’s good to have a nice clean space to get all of her work done!
Here is the space above my dresser! As you can see I have some more paintings and crafts displayed along with my jewelry organizer and a quote.
I brought my tapestry back from my freshman year and spiced it up with some photo lights I got for Christmas. Courtney and I put some photos of our friends and us from the past few years as well as some self-portraits. She also brought her Wii down so we could get some Just Dance workouts in!
This is the top of Courtney’s dresser. As you can see she has quite a few pictures of friends and family as well as a Harry Styles shrine. She also has a little box of candy hidden in the back when she’s feeling a bit snacky.
Here is the front of the room where Courtney and I hang our keys and other belongings by the door so we can grab them on our way out. I made this by buying a frame a Hobby Lobby and adding a few hooks to the top. It’s worked really nicely the last two years and one of my favorite crafts I’ve ever made! We also hang our towels by the closet.
There you have it! Although I miss the old room, I really enjoy the new space that I have and I can’t wait to finish out the year in room 213! If you want to see my old room, check it out here!
